Era Mae Ferron, Phd. MN. BScN., Senior Investigation Writer
Era Mae Ferron is a PhD-prepared nurse, researcher, and workplace investigation writer with over 14 years of experience in occupational health, safety, and violence prevention. She has led CIHR-, SSHRC-, and Ministry-funded projects, applying Canadian legislation across healthcare, education, government, and emergency services sectors.
Era Mae coordinates Indigenous-led and sector-focused research involving stakeholder engagement and knowledge mobilization. Her work spans literature reviews, jurisdictional scans, interviews, focus groups, and surveys, producing actionable reports, policy recommendations, and practical tools.
She has served as the Workplace Violence Prevention Project Coordinator at the Public Services Health & Safety Association and as a Research Associate at the Institute for Work & Health. Fluent in English and French, her diverse career spans leadership roles with Disney and Celebrity cruise lines, government agencies, Shoppers Drug Mart, and now helping small to medium sized businesses with their HR needs.
